1950's Design Classic Telephone

A boxed new version of a design Classic. When this phone rings you simply pick it up and talk, placing the phone back down again returns the phone to dialing tone. Introduced in the 1950's this unique upright phone was smaller and lighter than any other phone of it's time. Originally a dial phone, the push button version was introduced in 1967. In recognition of its segnificance as a piece of good design in 1973 this phone was selected to be part of the New York Museum Arts Collection.
